It is extremely unlikely Fritz is causing this. I'd start by making sure you have all the latest XP Pro patches installed from the MS web site. Make sure you have all the latest drivers installed for your devices. If the problem remains then you probably have a hardware issue, particularly as you recently upgraded to SMP. Try and isolate the problem by running a different program that keeps the CPUs and disks busy, and run for several hours to see if your system resets. If it does you could have insufficient cooling in your system. Try it again with the case of your PC open to see if that makes a difference. If cooling is the problem get some better Heatsinks/fans and/or get case fans (and ear-plugs while you're at it). Other reasons could be insufficient power supply, bad memory, faulty motherboard, faulty disk or disk controller, some other faulty hardware, hardware that is incompatible with the operating system, or a bug in the Operating System. Occasionally a kernel mode device driver can cause this too (but I don't think Fritz installs kernel mode device drivers.) The only way is to isolate each component and try without it to home in on the culprit. Murray Cash
