Actually, I have not generated KQQKQQ, so I don't know where the 29 hour figure comes from. The chessmaster FEG program is different from the Nalimov program in that the efficiency due to like pieces is not used during generation, but only during compression at the end. This allows FEG to use very little RAM, around 15M. It also means it will be slower than Nalimov's program if there are like pieces present, but I think run times should be comparable for the more general case. A "generic" 6-man TB without pawns takes about 1 day, and a TB with pawns takes 3 to 3 1/2 days on P4/2.4GHz.
