Well.. A less ambiguous result than we saw would be more satisfying to me. We saw kramnik make the compuer look stupid in the first 4 games, then commit the worst blunder of his career, then make an iffy sacrifice when he had a much stronger line (bd5 instead of nf7--heck, even _I_ saw it), to then resign a drawn endgame. But wy are we interested in computer chess? Because we are interested in computer intelligence. Is any chess program now playing intelligently? No, not really-they are just searching very very fast. They can't play good 'go' yet, much less solve real tricky problems. dave
