Tennis players can get better and the same for a team of program+programmer. I see nothing wrong if people give rating only for one Fritz,one shredder,... They can play a tournament when they always use the latest Fritz,Latest Genius,.... My opinion is that in that case they should announce about tournaments before they play them so programmers who are interested can send an update for the tournament. Uri
