Fritz Bahrain probably differs from Deep_Fritz_7 in terms of at least: - opening book, and the temporary weightings given to it by the team - evaluation function: the 'knowledge component' - search-speed in terms of nodes/sec., courtesy of software and hardware - < your parameters go here > Only Chessbase can pronounce on the first two. As for the last: Fritz was observed on the 8x 900MHz Compaq DL760 (1 GBytehash-table) rating at 2406 nodes/sec., having searched all options to 17 ply in the following position: [D] 2r5/p5kp/bp3n2/P2Q4/8/1p4P1/5P2/R3R1K1 b - - 0 33 It would be interesting to know what Deep Fritz 7 owners 'clock' - peak - in terms of nodes/sec. during a search at this position. To make figures more meaningful, data should include: Machine, No. of processors used, Processor speed, hash-table size, other? ... and then you will perhaps be able to estimate Deep_Fritz' performance on a 1GHz machine, and maybe Fritz Bahrains' performance compared to that. g
