Subject: Time-compensating for the disadvantage of playing Black?

Playing White is reckoned to be an advantage.

This has to be taken into account when determining pairings in a Swiss
tournament (see earlier, re the Dutch CC Tournament currently on.)

Suppose then that White's time allowance was reduced uniformly by x% in all
phases of play.

Averaging across a large number of games, what value would x have increased to
by the time you were preferring to play Black?

x = 0% means you prefer to play White (as surmised).
x = 100% means you have no time, so you would prefer to play Black
x = X and you prefer to play Black ==> x > X means you still prefer Black
Therefore there must be a figure for x =< 100%.
