I am having the same problem.  I downloaded the patch and ran it in the CA
directory but it says CA does not need to be updated.  Yet I cannot run CA due
to the 501 error.  (I am using Win XP Pro.)

The ChessAssistant site never mentions XP at all as far as I can tell; it only
mentions Win ME.
