Yes, the Ultimate Chip was indeed announced for Christmas 2004, and should
arrive as scheduled.
However, insiders mentioned the pending release of the NEW and IMPROVED Ultimate
Chip PLUS! with ultra random prediction branching technology embedded in it.
Although Autumn 2005 is the stated release date, Christmas 2005 seems likely.
However, the wife of the chief developer of a renegade department in Intel said
she overheard him mumbling something in his sleep about a revolutionary
technique to bury all Ultimate Chips (once and for all) involving a special
zodiac threadscripting technique. When questioned, she refused to elaborate
though did add that in her experience, these turned into reality about 3 years
after the mumbling phase, and would not be surprised to see something came along
around Christmas 2006.
