Subject: When you take human phychological weakness into account...

...then the top programs running on the fastest PCs are clearly getting results
comparable to the top GMs.

That's not to say anything about the quality of their chess play or their
understanding of the game. Just their overall performance in real-world
tournaments and matches, given that humans (even GMs) blunder, get tired, get
tempted to play sacs that may be unsound, get distracted, get bored, get ill,
etc. When you add up all these human weaknesses, they may just about equal the
lack of understanding that even the best programs still often exhibit.

I also think that even when computers' performance ratings reach the level of
200+ Elo above the top human GMs, that the GMs will still win some games in a
way not unlike Kramnik's 2 wins in the recent match. The number of GM losses
will increase, but the number of GM wins will not decrease very quickly due to
the different nature of those wins (i.e., the computer is not likely to be
helped much by more raw CPU power).
