I do not think that you are right.

Maybe you are right about U.S.A(I do not know) but the best players are not from
that country.

I think that chess was never a popular game.

In Israel we do not read in most newspapers even about the Fritz-kramnik match
when the newspapers write about results of the 5th league in football.

The best israeli players are usually born in russia.

With computers there are so many things that childs can choose to do so players
who have more options to choose and the result is not more people who choose
chess.

In israel
All of the best women chess players come from russia.

I am not sure about the situation today but some years ago I watched the women
Israeli championship and there was not a single player who was not born in
russia.

Unfortunately women today are clearly inferior based on results.

If you put a team of the best 100 men agaiant a team of the best 100 women then
unfortunately I expect the team of the men to get more than 75%.

Judit polgar's expected score against kasparov is probably sligthly better than
25% but if you go down in the list the difference becomes clearly bigger.
