Chess Tiger 14 seems to like Qb2 almost exclusively on my computer.

The score seems to be about the same as Rxd4, so maybe it is a matter somewhat
of chance which of these two moves programs prefer.

I would be curious to know from a "human chess guru" why it is that Rxd4 is
better than Qd2 (other than the fact that it is a lot prettier).
