The question regarding the testing of Gromit was answered when the first match (against Gandalf) appeared. If I'm not mistaken the essence of the response was that: 1) The SSDF thought that Gromit would be released (shortly) when approached by the authors. 2) A gap in the schedule allowing for one of the unusual suspects to be tested.
