Here you can tell how important a difference in speed really is, since both of these programs are made by the same author Richard Lang, and even though Chess Genius 1.5 is much newer than Genius 1, still a 486 running at 66Mhz can only be compared to the newer Palm by Sony operating at 200 Mhz.
