1) AMD XP1800+ has a real clock of 1533MHz! The 1800+ is marketing to be
comparable with Intel's processor clock. That means the AMD XP1800+ is as fast
as an Intel P-4 at 1800MHz while the Athlon in fact only runs at 1533MHz.

2) My benchmarks for both computers are (they are available at my site in the
section of the stopped permanent brain test):

- AMD Athlon XP1800+ (real 1533MHz); Board: Elitegroup ECS K7S5A; 320MB SD-RAM;
Windows 2000 professional; Fritz 7.0.0.8-Mark: 1104 (787knps)

- Intel Celeron 1400 auf 1539MHz; Board: ASUS TUSL-2C; 320MB SD-RAM PC100;
Windows 2000 professional; Fritz 7.0.0.8-Mark: 1031 (732knps)

If you now compare the benchmarks I promise the error margin in ELO is much
higher than the few percent difference in speed (about 7%).

So do you still have something to complain about? ;-)
