it is ridiculous to call someone a thief for making an inocuous and grammatically correct statement.if one owns 9 out of 10 programmes and all 9 are purchased legally it is perfectly grammatical to say that "i legally own most of the chessbase progrmmas" as legal is an adverb tht defines "own" and not "programmes". if on the other hand one were to own 9 legal copies and 1 illegal copy one would then say "i own most of the chessbase programmes legally" although purists would still argue that one cannot ever be an owner of an illegally acquired programme. i would have expected someone wih an anglo-saxon name to have a better grasp of english than what is being displyed so far. but i guess americans speak "american" and not "english", and perhaps the grammatical rules of "american" are different On October 30, 2002 at 04:06:02, John Smith wrote: >On October 30, 2002 at 02:21:17, Ignacio Urbelz wrote: > >>I legally own most of the CB products, but still cannot agree with you.
