Why? Because it is the >most outrageous sac available. I'd say that white is himself threatened with mate, and the queen to h6, if taken, immeadiately opens the Rook file against the king. Therefore the first thing to do when seeing this fact, is to examine if there is a mate, which may well be, or atleast, it is the best thing if there would be.
