i have for the fird time tried to create and play chessmaster in fritz 7 interface with uci. i have downloaded odd-gunnar malins wb to uci converter and have used the instructions therein together with advice from Aaron Tays website: unfortunately it does not seem to work: i have used odd-gunnar malins winboard method quite successfully as detailed here: http://home.online.no/~malin/sjakk/cminfritz/cminfritz.html my current chessmaster installation therefore contains: TheKing.exe (which is actually InBetween.exe renamed) and TheKing3.12d.exe(which is the renamed original patched TheKing engine. also a text file file called "InBetween.ini in the chessbase engines folder i have a the winboard adapter 22kb renamed as "TheKing.eng" plus a folder called "TheKing" which contains 2 text files-"InBetween.ini" and "TheKing.init" and "InBetween.exe" renamed to "TheKing.exe" this installation works fine as a winboard method. i have tried to create a uci version of the king but am not sure whether the winboard installation needs to stay as it is or whether the chessmaster should be in the original condition. i have tried both ways but does not seem to work. grateful for any help rajen
