No, actually there is no feature in Winboard to do what you and I and lots of
other people would like it to do -- keep the score during a match and save it
together with the pgn scores of the games. However, I found a workaround: I
import the pgn into my Rebel 8 and, voila, it spits out not only the overall
standings but all kinds of stats! Neat. BTW, I plan to keep the scores in the
stat file (labelled Freeware.dat) and update them regularly. Unfortunately,
I'll do that only for blitz and rapid games (up to 1 hour per game). Longer
time controls are simply not very handy, what with the wife, and cats and the
whirring noise made by the fan, etc.

Joking aside, I believe that Winboard modularity will allow us to keep track of
the new free programs and breath down the necks of commercial guys. Some of them
will eventually muster up the courage to try their progs out in the democratic
forum of Winboard. Such testing is also lots of fun for the tester! Big Mac in
hand, glued to the monitor screen, rooting for the favourite prog... Stay tuned
for the latest results which should appear the beginning of the next week on my
new, updated and fast Computer Chess Page.

Djordje
