I'm thinking that even though it's not the strongest program regarding ssdf list etc. it might be the one which is best to practice against. But, since I haven't seen many others of the free programs, (nor many of the comercial ones either), if you have, could you tell me if you think it is better than all others, in certain aspects, or is Crafty, or Ruffian, or some others better, even in what I'm speaking about? REALLY, I can't get over it! Every game it comes up with great tricks! (and the fact that I'm stopped from doing what I want to do, with great tricks it makes me feel that I "wanted" to do the right thing) Hiarcs (7...etc.) doesn't do it, even if it gets higher results overall, but it doesn't make you feel it! Anyway, Arasan is probably stronger in results than all the old famous expensive Mephisto (and other) dedicated computers.] I hope I didn't offend Jon Dart! (and if he is English, it is very characteristic of English people to underplay their successes, or potentials!) S.Taylor
