I took the CM9_Utz12n results (author's website) and looked up the approx. rating of the opponents, using the latest SSDF list for those opponents which were rated. I wagged a rating for the opponents that were not SSDF rated. I didn't adjust for 1.2M vs 1.3M speed differences. I did adjust for 450K vs 600, 800 or 1.3 speed differences, using approx. 70 pts for each doubling of MHz. I made rough adjustments, in my head for the speed differences. I didn't *not* adjust for time control at which games were played. I calculated a Performance Rating Average using the standard +/- 400 rule, and the results were: CM9K Default ~2660 SSDF estimate (would be in top 12 or so) CM9_Utz12n ~2716 SSDF estimate (would be in top 8 or so) --very strong! (nice job, Kurt!) Sorry, SSDF, but I don't have any +/- error of estimate figures. :) I know this is a rough cut and may be refined according to personal preferences, but I think it is a reasonably fair estimate of SSDF ratings for the CM9K default & the CM9_Utz12n personality, based on the results posted at the personality author's website. Have at it, all you math whizzes & logicians! I did *not* copyright my results, so you may modify them for your own purposes all you wish! :) --Steve
