So MATESCORE can't be -INF. But if he had +Qvalue it would be wrong. In initial position we have alpha=-INF. Are we doing badly? No, or at least we don't know. So I don't know how comparing alpha to some static value during search would help. Or then I'm just tired and missing something crucial (very possible ;)
