I do not think that Ruffian is a candidate for the 3th place. No doubt that it is the best free program. It is probably even better than gandalf but I believe that all of the 3 available programs (Deep Fritz7,Fritz7,Tiger15) are going to be above it. I do not have these programs but my impression based on results was that all of these programs are at least 50 elo better than Ruffian. You may be right about Deep Fritz7 but the last result of the ssdf Deep Fritz7(A1200)-Tiger15(K6-450) 23-19 suggests that Tiger15 is slightly better on equal hardware. I expect a result like 25-17 between equal programs with A1200 against K6-450 Uri
