If all you want to do is EXPLORE a particular opening, then you can open the "Coach" window (CTRL+C), and in the "Advice" tab each legal move that is designated with a named opening will be displayed as such. In that way, you can see all of the moves for a particular opening in the given position. If you want to PLAY a particular opening against a computer opponent, then you can either create an opening book from games of that opening, or just go to chessmaster8000.ubi.com/downloads.html, and at the bottom of the page there will be a "New Chessmaster Opening Books". All of these books will work in any version of Chessmaster after CM5000. Just create a personality that uses any one of these books. jm
