The release of this program came as a complete surprise to me, my development team, my Producer and even our marketing department in the US. In a nutshell, the Chessmaster development team was not consulted in any way regarding this product. So, I have absolutely no idea what engine is inside it. I am certain that it is not a recent version of The King, and am moderately certain that it is not even a version of The King at all. I would SUSPECT that it is the same chess engine that was in the original GameBoy version, or, perhaps, an early Playstation version. All frustration aside, I have not seen the product at all, obviously, so I have no idea how good it is. I have not seen any reviews of it, and I have no idea how well it plays, or how good the feature set and/or GUI are. IOW, I know nothing about it.... jm
