Or they have to write ICS communication code in BASIC (yuck). Maybe someone thinks the Winboard and Arean GUI's suck so they wrote their own, and didn't have the extra time to write ICS communication code. I agree. This rule would rule out a lot of people. I also don't think we should make assumptions that everyone has the latest greatest stuff. Some people think a 386 and BASIC are the latest greatest thing, and I don't think we should assume that every chess programmer uses C/C++ and Windows or Unix. What if someone wants to enter their Palm chess program? Russell
