It think kibitzing is a fine rule, but I just wouldn't know what to kibitz
during the opening book phase, the program isn't generating a PV so I don't see
how it solves the problem Robert mentioned.

Of course, but how do you prove this, how do you make sure the operator isn't
sending commands to the engine via Alt-1 or something? The PV was supposed to
the proof, but if there isn't one... you get the idea.

Personally I'm not very paranoid, I actually believe most programmers would just
weaken their engines if they were to butt in. I mostly worry about clones, but
that is a different story.
