This is incorrect.  _any_ compiled language (and basic is a compiled language)
that can read stdin and write to stdout can work with winboard/xboard.  There is
no language/library requirements.  And since every application typically writes
to stdout and reads from stdin, any .exe should be able to work just fine...

Interpreted languages (ie perhaps some javas that don't have a real compiler)
might have a problem of course...

Write a interface for it and it is welcome.  But doing things manually is
simply an outdated idea.  And eventually something has to be declared dead and
left behind...
