If you run that, can you post the errors or send them to me via email? That might give a hint as to which compiler they are distributing and might point out which compiler options are giving problems. I am using redhat 8.0 myself and it works just fine, although if you back up to redhat 7.3 you can use Intel's compiler which is significantly faster than gcc 3.2 for Crafty. Unfortunately it won't work on redhat 8 as a lot of include files change and cause the compiler to blow up. Intel is aware of the problem but no "fixes" yet.
