This is a few years ago of course. Short before k7 got onto the
market.

Of course they have experience now getting it to work dual, so
that should help them with future SMP releases.

We will see.

I doubt however the times quoted. Any form of SMP into hammer
will take years to get it to 8 cpu's. If it gets 8 cpu shared memory
anyway.

Even though their design, like that of the K7, allows that.

I see it as a marketing promise simply, marketing people are great
in promising things. I do not understand why you forgot about these
K7 promises at all.

It was *hot* news when it was first announced by K7 marketing people.
