Although, since you said that you have many previous versions of Chessmaster, the inclusion of well over 100 different personalities has been in every version since CM6000. I hope that's OK. : ) In general, most "strong" (which I would define as Class A or higher, personally, because I look at the bell curve) users who like to play against personalities other than the default "Chessmaster" personality, prefer to play against personalities that are rated at least 100 points higher than their real-life chess rating. This is simply because CM's ratings are only somewhat based on USCF ratings. There is also a lot of other data that goes into the ratings of the personalities, and none of this remaining portion involves humans: games against other personalities, SSDF tests, adjustments for CPU speed, etc. So, you should not make the assumption that CM ratings = USCF (or FIDE) ratings. jm
