conditions: p4 2.4 ghz, ponder off, tablebases off, f7 gui, 10 games against each engine, 128mb hash, lunsen book. 60 moves in 3 minutes. after 10 engines (90 rounds) Chess Tiger 14 62 Fritz 7 56 Shredder 6.02 54.5 Ruffian 1.01 49 Deep Junior 7 48.5 Nimzo 8 41 Pharaon 2.62 38.5 Crafty 19.01 36.5 Aristarch 4.4 32 Yace 0.99.56 32 Next engines to enter: Gandalf 5.1, Sjeng 12.13, Hiarcs 8 and Sos 2 (Arena) games available upon request Chess Tiger 14 is strong at this time limit, I dont have CT 15, but from some testers it seems that 14 is as strong as 15 in fast time controls. It is interesting to note that without tablebases, some engines enter into dead drawn endgames. e.g. rook+bishop or rook+knight vs lone rook. Hiarcs 8 should challenge CT 14 at this time control, should be interesting.
