OK, let's do that:

set up the initial position of a chess game in, say, ChessGenius.

Disable the opening book (if possible).

If you cannot disable the opening book, remove white's H1 rook (so the position
cannot be found in the book).

Start the engine in "infinite" mode, and tell us how much time it thinks before
the PocketPC turns itself off (or whatever event happens that tells you that it
needs a recharge).

I'll do the same on my Palm m505 running Chess Tiger 15.0 for Palm when you
report the result and the exact conditions of your test.
