It uses non-rotated bitboards and MTD(f). Actually, my personal versions of both :) It's called Anubis. I plan to continue both engines and try to study what the effect of some prunning rules, eval terms, etc. is in both (Averno is 0x88 with piece-lists and PVS). Anubis is in a very early stage of developement, but now it's rather fast in nps, but not good enough in branching factor. José C.
