conditions: p4 2.4 ghz, ponder off, tablebases off, lunsen book, 60 moves in 3 minutes, f7 gui, 128 mb hash. (10 games against each engine). after 14 programs (130 rounds) Chess Tiger 14.0 94/130 Fritz 7 88 Hiarcs 8 83 Shredder 6.02 82.5 Deep Junior 7 74 Ruffian 1.01 73.5 Gandalf 5.1 64 Nimzo 8 59 Pharaon 2.62 57 Yace 0.99.56 55 Crafty 19.01 52.5 Aristarch 4.4 48 Anmon 5.21 46 Sjeng 12.13 33.5 Comments: Hiarcs stirred it up, and just edged Shredder for third. Anmon played some good matches, and being a strong blitzer I thought it would have done better. Sjeng is really struggling (losing to both the newcomers 1-9), and Yace is finally making its move (beating Hiarcs [6-4], and Anmon [8-2]). One other thing, some programs use up their full 3 minutes for 60 moves, while others, e.g. Ruffian, Aristarch. play very fast, sometimes having 30 seconds left after 60 moves). next programs to enter: Gambit Tiger 2.0 (agr), LGoliath 3.8, Deep Fritz6, Pepito 1.55.
