Curious that in analysis mode (where Fritz analyzes for each side as moves are made), it sees the following line with White to move: 13. Qxc6 Rc8 14. Qa6 Ra8 15. Qb7 Rb8 16. Qa6 Ra8 with an evaluation of 0.00 after only 9 ply (3 secs on my machine K6-2 300 Mhz). So, with White to move, Fritz sees the draw associated with Qxc6. Yet, when Qxc6 si played, Fritz 5.03 (the version says 5.00, but I did purchase the patch on the CD from ChessBase in Germany so "Load Old book" is on the menu - supposedly a sure sign that I have "5.03". Go figure.) wants to play 13...Be4 as you indicated. On the subject of bugs in Fritz, I may be pointing out a bug everyone else has already found, but .... In the database menu, searching for games where (say) Karpov played, and his OPPONENT was Tukmakov does not work. You get back all games where Tukmakov played someone ... NOT only those games where Karpov played and Tukmakov was his opponent. Am I missing something? I did select "opponent" on the pull-down menu after entering the player Tukmakov (as the manual indicates I should). What's up with that? Roy
