I recently downloaded Rebel decade 2.0. I must say i was very surprised at it's playing strength. Although it appears to be relatively weak in the endgame compared to its bigger brother rebel 9 , I thought it was quite strong in the tactical arena. Frankly I did not notice any difference in it's middle game play in comparison to rebel 9 , but ofcourse being only a 1900 player this is perhaps not surprising. Does any one know what the significant differences are between rebel decade and Rebel 9? Also how does rebel decade compare with other freeware programs such as Crafty, and Tiger? I am mostly concerned with strength.
