Are you asking if it is possible to compile an executable that will work with
Winboard using BASIC? Or are you just asking if it's possible to write a chess
program with BASIC?

I know there are some versions of BASIC that will produce compiled executables.
I believe QBasic 4.5 and higher will do it, but I'm not sure where you would
find it, since Microsoft no longer supports it. You might be able to search the
net and find it somewhere.
