For the sake of discussion, suppose you are teaching a college course on how to modify single-processor chess engines to multi-processor chess engines. Suppose this is the first, or second, day of class. Suppose you wish to give the students a preview of the course content . . . to motivate them. What would you tell your students? Bob D.
