I also downloaded and installed Elect2000. I have 9 Chessbase opening books
installed and look at them fairly frequently when deciding on opening moves in
correspondence play. My preliminary impression is Elect2000 is a good opening
book, as far as it goes. But with only 470,904 games it is somewhat limited to
popular and main lines. Their prior "Lunsen" opening book based on 621,368 games
was also good. giving some very useful statistics as a guide to the strongest
opening lines. I think those two are better than the Fritz7 and Deep Fritz
opening books, which seem too narrow to me.

Of course this is from the point of view of a correspondence player. If you're
looking for over-the-board strength, that might be different. In that case you
could try some tricks & traps, which you wouldn't dare to try in correspondence
play.
