Using the winboard command line: "C:\Program Files\WinBoard\winboard.exe" -zp -ics -icshost freechess.org -icshelper timeseal -fcp "winboard232c -com 1" -zippyMaxGames="4" -zippyGameEnd="gameend1\ngameend2\ngameend3\n" -icslogon az.ini I have switched the com ports between Winboard and Fritz. 2. I have tried all the interfaces I have. Fritz 6/7/DF7, Junior 6/7, Shredder 6/7, Tiger 14, Nimzo 8, Hiarcs 8. None seem to work. They recieve instruction that the game has started, make the first move, but Winboard does not recieve the move to pass on to FICS. 3. I bought a new cable thinking that might be the case but I get the same results. I am trying to use it on FICS/ICC, not the playchess server. That works fine if I use the Fritz 7 interface and just connect there. It is an auto232 problem I am sure.
