Hi Dieter,

thanks for your answer. I think i will implement it in the following way:

I will add a value to my INI file which i can set to
-kibitz
-whisper
-none

So if Holmes plays on a chess server (the command ics from Winboard tells Holmes
that) then i will send after each move:

"tellics kibitz pv score bla bla bla..."
or
"tellics whisper pv score bla bla bla..."
or
nothing

depending on my setting in the INI.

Is it possible to connect to a chess server with 2 different loggins on one
computer, like Tim describes? That would be great.

I tryd to get a computer account at FICS before about a halv year, but it was
not possible to enter datas for a computer account there, only for a human
account. So can i test my engine with a human account?

have a nice day
Andreas

PS: also thanks to Gerd and Uli (I hope we meet us all in Paderborn next year :)
