Hi James... you know, in chess most openings "dobious" lines are refuted not in
the early stage of the game but in the end!, don´t get confused : you start
moving your queen aggressively (while lacking on development) threating to take
a pwan (sorry for my english), your opponent let you take it, and then another
one, thats ok, but then you realise your queen is in danger, so you give up 1
pawn then a second one and save your queen, material is even now but position is
not, your experienced opponent has a slightly advantage for the ending but guess
what?, that´s all what he need!.. sometimes you can´t refute a opening looking
specific moves on the board, sometimes you just need to say: what i get form
this move?, pawn majority?, REAL chances to attack?, a strong passed pawn?, two
bishops in this great open position?, a perfect a unmovable knight in the
center?.... if you use the opening as if it is your "main" weapon in a chess
game then my friend you will probably beat me but you will never be able to beat
a Master and probably after i "learn" you are a "opening" player then maybe i
will never lose again from you (?), you must think of opening just like a fase
to get the ending, a favourable one of course or at least a superior middle game
which will force your opponent to go to a inferior ending...

3.Qa4 is just the third white move!.. "we" probably could write a book about
all the variations and ideas in this position, but is this a pratical
approach?..

What will happen if a chess program play this position (as white) vs a human?,
probably it will eat all the black pieces! and smash the poor guy, this is
understandable due to the superior tactics it has and a very important aspect:
most the time the human will try to catch the queen and lost (vs the computer)
all his pieces in the "road", but what will happen if you put two programs to
play it?, if you have chess engines ( i am sure you have) i encourage you to do
the experiment and then post the resulst here, this will be good for all, for
you to clarify some ideas about this particular line, for chess programmer, for
the engines, for all chess player looking for new ideas, and the most important
for chess in general.

About the move itself (Qa4) the reason i won´t play it (in a tournament) is
just because i didn´t see any the advantages i was talking before, i am not a
good "opeinig player" (neither midlle or ending) and cause that i have a open
mind about new ideas..
