(2) It is common to hear that mental activity will postpone Alzheimer's Disease, but I know of no evidence supporting that idea. (3) As stated here earlier, my goal is to become able to understand the CCC bulletins better and to be able to make contributions to CCC other than generalities. The idea that writing a chess engine would accomplish that seems reasonable, but maybe that's not necessary.
