In my opinion your "accusation" against SSDF is not at all justified. They are doing a great job and they play thousands of games with no intention to prefer a specific program. SSDF have however always stated that they are only testing programs with default style and books and this may be the reason why Chessmaster 8000/9000 is not better classified in the SSDF rating list.
