The above in not correct for the American terms. Below in the correct values.

1 thousand (American) = 1,000 = 1 thousand = 1E3
1 million (American) = 1,000,000 = 1 thousand thousands = 1E6
1 billion (American) = 1,000,000,000 = 1 thousand millions = 1E9
1 trillion (American) = 1,000,000,000,000 = 1 thousand billions = 1E12
1 quadrillion (American) = 1,000,000,000,000,000 = 1 thousand trillions = 1E15
