The requirement that the engine is tested "out of the box" is a good one IMO.
That precludes some of the more bizarre combinations seen in private
experiments. Otherwise you might end up in a futile argument over which
personality is the best. The only exception as I see it, is if de Koning gives
indications as to how the engine should be tested. Maybe even offers a version
capable of automatic play. This has to be the same engine as used with CM9000 of
course.

It should be somewhat trivial to use Wb2uci and install it under Fritz.
