Well, if I can get over 2400 again, I'll set it to match you :)

No kidding. I'll look into it.

Well, I agree that if I were the only one to ask, it might not happen.

Apparently, both you and Bob agree that it's a serious problem. Most
programmers in this group have their programs represented on ICC; I would like
to get a sense from the group if others consider this an issue worth dealing
with.

ICC offers an incredible opportunity for programmers to get real world
opposition, so as to test and improve their programs. But the presence of 20 or
so clones (at any one time) severely limits this opportunity, and causes other
problems as I have said.

The idea of labeling the Craftys with a (CR) is a small step, and a simple one
to implement. I invite others to respond.

As an aside, one could envision other solutions. Bob has said he considers it a
real problem, and would like his Crafty account to be more active. I wonder if
it might be possible to add code to future versions of Crafty that would, for
example, prevent seeks or match offers if a "ping" showed the presence of, say,
3 other idle Craftys (excepting the real Crafty).

Other possibilites exist, of course. Future versions of Crafty could be made
ICC-incompatible, until such time as the clone accounts were reduced by
attrition.

Seems like it could be done, if one wanted to do it.
