You don't need the Game List window open to do this. To export ALL games from the currently open database to a PGN file, the first thing you must do is to "Negate Filter" (CTRL+SHIFT+F), which basically clears the results of any search that you may have previously done. This is sort of the equivalent of selecting all games in the database. You can also find this item in the "Search" menu. The status bar will now read "Filter: all/N", where 'N' is the number of games in the database. Now, all you need to do is "Tools -> Export all filter games -> Export filter to PGN file". The thing to remember is that the search filter is in charge of which games are selected for many features. When there is no filter, then all games are "selected". jm
