I tried deleting position.*, but the result was the same. Here's the log file
(it's quite short!)

at this point it hung and would not let me enter another move. About 30 seconds
later Windows 95 gave me a message that Crafty had performed an illegal
operation and was being terminated.
I'm running this in a directory with WinBoard, where I name the Crafty file
simply "wcrafty.exe", so that I can put in new versions without changing
anything else. When I try running the 15.18 version it works fine, before and
after failing on the 15.19 version.
