How many nodes would Deep Blue have (in memory)to choose the move 44...Rd1. Lets base this on a five minute Deep Blue search for move 44...Rd1. I do not want to base this on the move time in the logs. Lets just say 5 minutes. So the question is: how many total nodes do you think Deep Blue could add to its memory in five minutes. Also how do you look at Deep Blue memory? How many nodes do you think Deep Blue was capable of holding in memory from its previous moves that can be added to the total nodes searched in just the five minute move time? I have a feeling that with my present system, 2x1533 amd mp, 432 hash, Deep Shredder 640 kns, Deep Junior7 2000kns, that this system is a small fraction of Deep Blue nodes in this five minutes. (not sure what is wrong with kns on DJ7 eval)(window shows 2100+kns) [D] 4r3/8/2p2PPk/1p1r4/pP2p1R1/P1B5/2P2K2/8 b - - Deep Shredder Paderborn 9 hours Depth 23.01 23.01 535:20 -3.30 1...Rg8 2.g7 Rf5+ 3.Ke3 Rf3+ 4.Kxe4 Rxc3 5.Rg2 Re8+ 6.Kf4 Rce3 7.g8N+ Kh5 8.f7 R3e4+ 9.Kf5 R4e5+ 10.Kf6 R5e6+ 11.Kg7 Ra8 12.Nf6+ Kh4 13.Rg4+ Kh3 14.Re4 (20.599.048.791) 641.3 best move: Re8-g8 time: 610:13.828 min n/s: 640.203 CPU 199.5% nodes: 23.440.305.057 TB: 720.306 Deep Junior7 6 hours Depth 26 44...Rg8 45.g7 Rf5+ 46.Ke1 Kh5 47.Rg1 Rf4 48.Kd2 Rf3 49.Bd4 Kh6 50.Be3+ Kh5 +- (2.12) Depth: 26 06:09:58 2814871kN, tb=60728 kburcham
